Article Abstract:
A journey by sailboat from Gibraltar to the Canary Islands is described. The 720-mile, 5-day trip was made by a couple along with their two children, both boys. The parents found out that their two children had learned much about sailing since they took a 16-day trip on the Indian Ocean two years earlier.

A cruising sailor describes spending a perfect Christmas im the Mum Bay of Thailand. The cruisers were saddened the next day by the news that two men in a dinghy from a nearby boat were blown out to sea and could not be rescued.
