Youth Movement
Article Abstract:
Children, especially girls, that are active in sports such as soccer and cross-country are susceptible to sports injuries. They often do not do any training or conditioning when not at practices or games, and the physiological changes their bodies go through make them vulnerable. Parents should make sure their children and teens do not train when suffering from overuse injuries or pain, and should encourage them to practice good work-out habits such as stretching, warming up, drinking plenty of fluids, and wearing the proper protective gear.
