Canada Mulls Special Status for Obese Travelers
Article Abstract:
The Canadian Transportation Agency is investigating the complaint that Air Canada did not accommodate an obese customer with adequate seating. Disability status for such customers is under consideration which would require airlines to provide an extra seat and longer seat belts without additional fees. Regional airlines throughout the US manage this issue in different ways from giving passengers the extra seat and longer seat belt to having them pay for these extra amenities.
