CFC laws threaten Dutch yards
Article Abstract:
A study conducted by Comprimo, an international engineering and construction contractor, indicates that Dutch shipyards will suffer unnecessarily from an early ban of chlorofluorocarbons in the Netherlands. The threat of early action, however, has spawned the developments of ozone-friendlier insulating materials that can meet ship requirements. The study was commissioned by the Coordination Centre for Maritime Research in Rotterdam.
