The high annual license costs and ever changing formats cited as reasons by shipping firm AP Moller-Maersk for not upgrading its Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems are discussed. The criticism was expressed in a letter addressed to Worldwide Electronic Navigational Chart Database meeting.
