Progress between UNL and Sistemar
Article Abstract:
Union Naval de Levante SA and Sistemar have forged a cooperative research agreement that has resulted in the development of more efficient ship propellers. Since the establishment of the agreement in 1995, both companies have collaborated in the development of the CP ship propulsion system which features the CLT blade technology. To date, some of the ships outfitted with the propulsion system include WW Marpetrol's 9,776 dwt Mar Almudena asphalt tanker and its 9,500 dwt product tanker Mar Virginia.

Technical brilliance of CLT propellers
Article Abstract:
Most aero- and hydrodynamics researchers mistakenly believe that the dynamics of CLT propellers is similar to the dynamics of aircraft winglets. Unlike winglets, CLT propellers do more than simply balance the pressure between a wing's suction and pressure sides. CLT propellers create a cascade effect that increases thrust on the propulsion side of the propeller.
