Sloppy mess faces owners

Article Abstract:

The shipping industry is becoming a major target for increasingly tough environmental laws, especially in the US. This is due to the expanding definition that is given to hazardous wastes, which can include anything that is corrosive, toxic or flammable. In addition to such implementing bodies as the Environmental Protection Agency and the US Coast Guard, each individual state in the US is free to adapt its own unique law on the protection of the environment.
