Western yards go it alone

Article Abstract:

Former Vulkan shipyards face new directions from their new owners. Schichau Seebeckwerft created SSW Fahrschiff und Spezialbau to carry out ferry and specialist newbuilding services with receiver Wolfgang von Betteray as the sole stockholder. HVV Hanse-Vermoegensverwaltung also headed by von Betteray, took over the operations of Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven. In Lubeck, Flender Werft has become the first ex-Vulkan yard to have new owners.
