A week in the life of Emma Belpietro

Article Abstract:

Working with the business sector is more satisfying than selling leisure products over the counter, according to Emma Belpietro, co-owner of Pyxis Travel in Brescia, Italy. Much of her contact with clients is over the phone, and she finds that the anonymity of the phone often obliges her to move away from her role as a professional travel consultant and to listen to clients' problems. She believes that Italian tour operators are offering very good deals, but that these deals will not persuade people to travel to a destination that has become unfashionable.
