Creating meal solutions

Branigan's Restaurants and Bars has forged an agreement with retailer Costco. Under the agreement Costco will carry Branigan's prepared food items. The home meal replacement line includes meat and vegetable lasagna, stuffed baked potatoess, penne with Italian sausage and chicken cacciatore. The packed food serves up to four people and are priced from $4.50 to $7.95. The agreement which took six months to realize has exposed Branigan's to a wider market.

However, the country offers limited opportunities since there is a small number of sites with substantial traffic flow to justify expansion. The best potential market for such expansion is the Windsor-Montreal corridor in Ontario and Quebec, which offers urban centers marked by high traffic flow.
