Germany is on the way back for New Zealand

Article Abstract:

More German tourists are visiting New Zealand in recent months, following the economic recession in Germany during 1994 and 1995. Over 50% of the 106,000 central European visitors during 1995 were from Germany, many of which were young people travelling round the world. The New Zealand Tourism Board is continuing with its marketing strategy, and recent advertising campaigns have been very successful. The French Nuclear tests in the South Pacific, about 5,000 kilometres from the country, are not thought to have any impact on the tourist industry.
