Jeremy Mogford

Article Abstract:

It would be good to have a hotel in London, England, but prices there are currently too high, according to Browns restaurant chain founder Jeremy Mogford. He now plans to develop the Old Bank Hotel in Oxford, England. This facility will have rooms with impressive views of Oxford, along with a middle market restaurant with an informal atmosphere. He recalls feeling many different emotions when Browns was sold to Bass in 1997, but welcomes the fact that he is still involved with plans by Bass to take Browns to some other cities internationally.

Paul Kelly

Article Abstract:

The creation of global brands is having a negative impact on cultural and national identities which have existed for many generations. Integration and uniformity are becoming key themes, and ecological, economic and technological developments are serving to accelerate this trend. Some observers believe that this may prompt a backlash, resulting in conflict between different cultures and peoples. Consumers are already becoming more introverted, and are losing their respect for traditional authority.
