Article Abstract:
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) will hold a convention at the International Leisure Week (LIW 96) at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, from September 24-26 1996. External business leaders will advise and inspire FIA delegates. There will be displays of facilities and equipment for the leisure industry, and seminars are expected to be particularly inspiring. The FIA will hold its annual general meeting at the convention and give out the Commit to Get Fit Awards.

Article Abstract:
The first LeisureASIA/TiLE conference and trade show was held in Singapore and had attendance of 5,300 visitors. It feature exhibitors and presentations by 62 speakers on subjects including the promotion of religious based cultural centres, and teenage virtual reality emporia. The conference aimed to address business opportunties in leisure, entertainment, amusement and recreation in Asia.
