Olympic dreams

Article Abstract:

In the initial session of Parliament after Christmas, 2002, there will be debates regarding a bid for the 2012 Olympic games. Proponents lobbying for the games will pursue the government's support and begin to position a bid team. The author cautions against wanting the games to such an extend that the country decives itself into thinking it can afford the games, when it cannot.
