Article Abstract:

The connection with the history of Wedgwood china and glass is now a very important source of tourist revenue for the town of Stoke-on-Trent. The town now has 10 factory tours and 40 factory shops, which are responsible for attracting many of its 2 million visitors every year. Visitor numbers are expected to be boosted further by various exhibitions marking the 200th anniversary of the death of Josiah Wedgwood.

Going underground: Nottingham City Council has let the ground open up under it

Article Abstract:

The Caves of Nottingham attraction has opened in Nottingham under the Broadmarsh shopping centre. It offers reconstructions of a medieval tannery, brew house and kitchen parlour, and and air raid shelter, in conjunction with audio-tapes which give the history of the caves. The council has marketed the caves with a spend of 15,000 pounds sterling.

Mill Green Museum and Mill in the hamlet of Mill Green, England, are tourist attractions. Welwyn Hatfield Council runs the attractions, which have 20,000 visitors a year. Visitors mainly consist of families, primary schoolchildren and local people. The sale of flour and publications accounts for 20% of revenue.
