Toronto, Ontario-based priszm brand inc is the new entity resulting from the merger of Canada-based SR Acquisition Corp's Markham, Ontario-based Scott's Restaurants with the Canadian operations of Kentucky-based Tricon Global Restaurants Inc in 1999. Tricon is the dedicated franchisor of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, with 30,000 company-owned and franchised units worldwide. The new company, priszm brandz, operates a total of 650 restaurants in 400 communities in Canada that collectively employ 13,000 people.
