Destination attractiveness based on supply and demand evaluations: An analytical framework
Article Abstract:
A model measures supply-and-demand indicators to explain and measure the determining factors of tourism attractiveness of a destination, following the concept that the overall tourism attractiveness of a destination depends on the relationship between the availability of existing attractions and their perceived importance. Findings reveal significant spatial differences in tourism regions in the measured parameters, proving useful in planning, marketing, and developing suitable resource allocation strategies.

Applying the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach to convention site selection
Article Abstract:
The criteria affecting the decision making of site selection are examined, and an analytical hierarchy process (AHP) model is proposed for decision makers to evaluate convention site selection and is tested using empirical data. Results indicate that the AHP model is suitable for application in the meeting, incentive, convention and exposition (MICE) industry for convention site selection, by allowing decision makers to structure their problems into priority weights reflecting their priority considerations.
