Thompson launches Healthtrack

Article Abstract:

Healthtrack is a new company set up by former Olympic athlete Daley Thompson to open a network of health and fitness clubs. These will aim to improve the lifestyle of their members through improved physical fitness. The first club will be set up at a cost of 4 million pounds sterling at Brooklands racing circuit in Weybridge, UK, and a further three sites have already been located.

Olympic record: the recently opened Olympic Museum in Lausanne has been long awaited

Article Abstract:

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) set up a modest Olympic Museum in assocaition with the City of Lausanne in 1982, and has recently opened a new museum on the shores of Lake Geneva. It features works of art influence by sport and is set in an area of landscaped parkland. It was financed from non-IOC funds and its visitor target is 150,000.

Hans Christian Andersen museum launches

Article Abstract:

The Hans Christian Anderson's Wonderful World, a 260 square meters museum based on the fairytales by the author has been opened in Copenhagen. The museum showcasing exhibits based on the famous characters of fairytales was built by the United Kingdom based designer Rex Studios.
