Trafalgar Square opened up: Livingstone's pound sterling 25m Trafalgar Square project completed after 18 months

Ken Livingstone gave the Trafalgar Square back to Londoners after the completion of its 18-month old pound sterling 25m improvement. The improvement included new toilets, an open-air cafe and a lift for the disabled that links the two levels of the square.

New Alpine glasshouse for Kew Gardens

A new glasshouse is designed by Wilkinson Eyre for Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew which will accomodate the delicate Alpine collection. The glass house is expected to open by Autumn of 2005.
