Castner's cutthroats

In 1942, Col. Lawrence Castner recruited expert outdoorsmen for the Alaska Scouts, and trained them in intelligence, combat, mapmaking, and runway site evaluation. Narratives by surviving scouts tell how their Aleutian campaign repelled the Japanese.

Siwash: roughing it the Athabascan way
