Article Abstract:

The demographics of neighborhoods in Washington such as population, age, and household income were surveyed in areas including Great Falls, Maryland, and Georgetown. The survey showed median household income for the Potomac to be the highest at $120,921 while Adams Morgan was lowest at $38,242.

Bye-bye rat race: Washingtonians who are getting off the fast track, learning to live with less - and liking it

Article Abstract:

Many Washington, DC, professionals are dropping out of the rat race and simplifying their lives even if the decision left them with less income. A survey on consumerism commissioned by the Merck Family Fund showed that 90% of those who made the change were satisfied with the results.
