The Browning ShortTrac combines the tried-and-true design features of the nearly 40-yearly old BAR sporting rifle with modern European styling and WSM chamberings. The European-style-walnut fore-end and contoured buttstock differentiate the ShortTrac from more traditional American-style BARs while the .270 WSM has a more angular forend that extends farther to the rear, covering the front of the lower receiver.
