Clinton-Gore White House drives latest Senate push for "gun control.'

Article Abstract:

The US Senate begun debating on the floor the Juvenile Justice Bill on May 12, 1999. The Senate rejected a proposal by Sen Frank Lautenberg that would put an end to gun shows. Lautenberg argued that his amendment was meant only plug a Brady Act loophole, whereby all gun show buyers would be required to undergo an NICS check.

Bipartisan vote in U.S. House rejects latest Clinton-Gore anti-gun agenda

Article Abstract:

The US House of Representatives disapproved the gun control bill that requires background checks on firearms at gun shows. The votes cast by anti-gun Democrats were tinted with political agenda reserved for the year 2000 elections.

Terrorism bill and anti-gun exploiters

Article Abstract:

The US Senate made many amendments to President Clinton's anti-terrorism bill. The resulting bill increases the government's authority to use wiretaps and to call in the armed forces in certain situations.
