FAA under pressure to reform airline inspections: experts say cheap foreign labor may threaten passenger safety
Article Abstract:
The Aviation Repair Station Safety Act of 1997, a Congress legislation that will tighten US carrier's use of foreign aviation repair stations, is expected to be come out in winter 1997. The ruling will increase FAA's supervision of airline maintenance performed abroad.
