Article Abstract:

The District's embrace of school choice, in the form of charter schools and vouchers is found to be one of the reasons why Catholic schools in Washington DC are thriving. Most of Catholic schools in the area are parochial, owned and run by a local parish and so the average tuition fee is almost half to one third of the fee in private schools.

Beating winter blues

Article Abstract:

Winter weather does not mean one has to endure winter blues. There are a variety of ways to feel good during the winter months without leaving Washington, DC. They include visits to local driving ranges with covered, heated tees, places which serve excellent teas, restaurants and theme parks.
