Guiding light

Article Abstract:

A young singer, Toby Lightman, recalls the nightmare she underwent when school or during her freshman years because she wore glasses, played the violin and was not considered cool enough to spend time with her friends who had boyfriends. Dismissing all the people who ridiculed her as being insecure, the singer is grateful to her mother who forced her to learn skills, which helped her, outshine her peers.

Peter Cincotti, the 20 year-old jazz musician whose debut proved to be an album that would launch an international career is discussed. Peter has been touring the globe non-stop since then and in February 2004;he came home to make his headlining debut at New York City's historic Alice Tully Hall.
