Heir Apparent?: Hornady's .17 Mach 2
Article Abstract:
A detailed description of a new cartridge, .17 Hornady Mach 2 or .17HM2, designed by the Chief Ballistic Scientist, Dave Emary, is presented which offers improvement in ballistic performance through greater muzzle velocity, flatter trajectory and reduction in the noise level and lead in the environment. A comparison between .17 HM2 and .22 LR hypervelocity rounds is also presented.
