Holy land

Article Abstract:

The Archdiocese of Chicago owns vast acres of prime real estate in the area, from parish churches, schools, and cemeteries to a seminary, a gas station and assorted land that it expects to convert for other uses in the future. But the official estimates on how many acres and buildings the Archdiocese portfolio contains or how much it is worth is still uncertain since taxing agencies do not assess its holdings.
