Wiseman's wilderness legacy

Marshall, born to a wealthy family, went on to champion preservation of the Alaskan wilderness. Often branded as a radical, he founded the Wilderness Society. An author an US Forest Service employee, he helped reform federal policies which had caused abuse and loss of reservation lands.
