Interview: Can the FBI combat carjacking?

Article Abstract:

Agent Robert Pocica says the FBI does not have sufficient staff to provide a special task force for tracking carjackings, but will become involved when the crime is a major issue. Detroit, MI, reports a 70% drop in carjacking because of strict enforcement of laws and adding personnel to the police force.

Hundreds of hotels are owned by the Resolution Trust Corp (RTC) due to the savings and loan crisis. RTC lacks the funds to turn the properties around and is becoming flexible in negotiating their sale to new owners.
