Nancy Dorn, a Texas native came to Washington without a job and with her efforts reached a position of press assistant to a Republican congressman to special assistant for legislative affairs and the first woman and youngest person to serve as an assistant secretary of the Army. She was appointed as an assistant to Vice President Dick Cheney for legislative affairs and then deputy Office of Management and Budget director and works in Washington office of General Electrics.

Olga Viso, the director of the Hirshhorn Museum, has worked on her passion for making art by showcasing works of emerging artists from America along with Asia and Latin America and is ready for more global reach. She started as an assistant curator and worked up to be director of the museum following her mentor's advice to network and be visible.
