Rick Steves' Europe

Article Abstract:

Personal experiences in a Polish milk bar, a cafeteria that offers cheap food, such as soups, cabbage-based salads, pancakes, and fried pork chops, are presented. The Poish milk bar does not only provide inexpensive meals, but it also gives a true sense of Poland's culture and brings back memories of the communist era. A guide for non-Polish speaking tourists on ordering food in milk bars is given.
