Antebellum masterwork: visit an unusual Old South mansion at Mississippi's Waverley Plantation

Article Abstract:

Waverley Plantation was built in 1852. Its Greek Revival design, by charles Pond, features natural cooling through a central octagonal top-floor cupola. It is reputedly haunted by the ghost of little girl, who calls 'mama' and leaves impressions on bedspreads.
