In-home trunk shows are becoming increasingly popular as stylish goods like clothing, semiprecious jewelry, monogrammed baby clothes and custom handbags are available without regular shopping hassles such as parking and salesman while it also gives the joy of shopping with the people they know. The in-home trunk shows, however, has certain drawbacks such as when a friend neglects to pay the host the bill or changes her mind on an item.

A number of times, conversations start on the public boards and continue through e-mail and there are lawyers, doctors, engineers, chefs, journalists, homemakers, real-estate agents, whose friendships take root through e-mail. Anonymity helps to be less judgmental, but whatever the reason may be offer help and a virtual shoulder to someone else at times of distress, is the only thanks one can offer.

People are using the e-mail as a means to start a relationship or improve an existing one. However, using an e-mail may prove confusing and make one's love life more complicated. Nevertheless, numerous couples acknowledge e-mail with helping sustain their long-distance love affairs.
