The M and P reborn: S and W's Military and Police model is a pistol for the new century

Article Abstract:

Smith and Wesson (S&W) is offering an interesting, new semi-automatic pistol, the Military and Police (M&P) which becomes positively impressive when taken to the shooting range. The M and P has a polymer frame topped with a stainless steel barrel and slide, and, as a gun chambered for the hot, medium-bore .40 S and W cartridge, has a recoil-operated, locked-breech system.

Article Abstract:

The .45 ACP performances with a shorter case and smaller gun are analyzed. The comparison between the .45 ACP and other guns available in the market is reviewed and features of .45 ACP which has a number of salient advantages like lower pressure, less violent recoil, lower noise levels and possibly others are highlighted.
