The tip of the iceberg

Article Abstract:

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's $1 million donation sparked an expansion project at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Eventually, the museum managed to raise $32.75 million for the project, which helped in building a masterpiece in a rchitecture which looks like an iceberg , a fitting place for display of the invaluable arts and artifacts of other artists.

Article Abstract:

Alaska, being tsunami prone area, experienced number of tsunamis over the years. The earthquakes which result tsunami and the amount of destruction it causes, are discussed. The use of tsunami warning systems in the region is also discussed.

Longest night

The Fairbanks Cycle Club's had an adventurous longest night ride on December 22. Personal narratives on the ride, from Goldenstream Valley and return to Ivory Jack's, are presented in detail.
