Air pollution from sulphur dioxide particles reduced visibility at Shenandoah National Park to less that 10 miles on 35% of summer days in 1992. Park official fear pollution will increase if 23 proposed power plants are constructed.

Taxes are turning up everywhere we go

Travelers pay taxes on hotel rooms, rental cars and purchases made abroad. Taxes on travelers are increasing more than $8 billion each year globally and most of the revenues are not spent to improve travel facilities.
