The early 1950s witnessed a revolution in the gun making technology with Weatherby Inc. developing the iconic Mark V rifle, as it was the first firearm for which the company had proprietary design. The rifle was developed in accordance with the wishes of company owner Roy Weatherby in association with chief engineer Fred Jennie and include many features that have become industry standards ever since.
