The town of Red Cloud, NE, features numerous turn-of-the-century houses and vast tracks of prairies. One of the popular attractions in the town is the house of famous writer Willa Cather. Cather's books were often inspired by the scenic views in Red Cloud.

The International Peace Garden is a monument to peaceful relations between the US and Canada which extends beyond the border of both countries. Built in 1932, the 2,339-acre garden has a colorful array of flowers.
