Older children often become emotionally distraught when a new younger sibling enters the family. Parents can prepare for problems such as jealousy, regression, fear and anger in their older children by talking things out with them. Conflict resolution suggestions are given.

Getting bedtime right

Article Abstract:

Children need to follow a set routine for bedtime in order to become good sleepers. Rituals need to be started before the actual bedtime so they do not infringe on the needs of parents or children. Children should learn to put themselves to sleep, even if they cry.
