A many splendored place

Article Abstract:

The city of Minneapolis, MN, which prides itself with having a Midwest city's hospitality and an East Coast city's culture and sophistication, is hosting the 1997 American Business Women's Assn's National Convention on Sept. 20-24, 1997. "Unite in the Land of Lakes and Pines" is the theme of the convention. Convention planners are busy preparing activities, such as a Fun Run/Walk through the Mississippi River parkway plus games and entertainment at the exhibit hall, for the delegates. Convention general chairman Betty Cole said the best part of the convention is the cooperative effort extended by members to make the convention a success.

A royal time in the queen city

Article Abstract:

The 47th American Business Women's Assn. (ABWA) National Convention will be held in Charlotte, NC, from Sep. 11-15, 1996. ABWA members will find Charlotte a very interesting place, with its fine theater, National Assn. for Stock Car Auto Racing competition, historic mansions, rolling mountains and white sand beaches. Established in 1768 and named after England's Queen Charlotte, the city is the biggest metropolitan area between Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC.

When creativity counts

Article Abstract:

Creative thinking can be practiced by anyone regardless of career or field of endeavor. The five steps involved in this process are inspiration, saturation, incubation, illumination and verification. Exercises to develop creativity include the practice of mental imagery, altering work patterns or habits to avoid routine which is the enemy of creativity, the use of visualization and listening to inspirational music.
