Article Abstract:

Endometriosis is an illness that causes women to have heavy menstrual periods, constant abdominal aching, fatigue and pain during intercourse. Although the disorder afflicts five million women in the US, which is about 10% of the female population of reproductive age, the medical community has yet to discover its cause or cure.
