A parent's guide to fit kids

There are many ways for parents to encourage their children to keep fit. An hour of physical activity everyday is guaranteed to decrease cholesterol levels and body fat. Physical education experts recommend setting an example for children by becoming physically active, scheduling exercise time after school and talking about exercise to find out children's fitness goals, among others.

Results of a research conducted by a non-profit research and education center in Dallas, TX, revealed that fitness has a significant role in dealing with obesity. Overweight people engaged in fitness programs are most likely to live longer than unfit persons of normal weight.
