Altitude sickness, which is felt by some people at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher, can be addressed with a high carbohydrate diet and drinking large amounts of liquids to aid metabolism. A higher carbohydrate diet allows easy digestion and efficient use of oxygen by the body.
