An invisible killer

Article Abstract:

The vast majority of women who are depressed fail to seek help due to feelings of shame. One woman who suffered bouts of depression for years finally went to a women's health center and got therapy. Antidepressants, excercise and volunteer work are discussed as ways to alleviate depression.

Individuals who became successful in life despite having challenging childhoods may have caring non-relative adults friends. They are the ones who showed them how life can be beautiful and happy despite its hardships.
