Common misconceptions about child rearing are demythologized. These misconceptions include babies' getting sick from the cold, dairy products aggravating a cold, iron causing constipation, breastfed babies needing extra water, and mixing cereal with formula to help the baby sleep.

A number of tips for a trouble-free air travel for babies are presented. Parents travelling with infants or younger children should bring all the necessary formula or meals. Infants should be encouraged to swallow to avoid discomfort caused by changes in air pressure.
