Back to the garden: schools across the country are planting seeds of cooperation

Article Abstract:

More than 800 Canadian schools have adopted a national school grounds transformation program for children to appreciate the environment and be part of its preservation. Gardens and bird sanctuaries have sprung up from the usual concrete school buildings, adding more beauty to their surroundings.

Toxic shock alert: it's safe to wear tampons, but not overnight

Article Abstract:

Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is caused by a bacterium called Staphylococcus aureus. High-absorbency tampons introduce oxygen into the vagina which causes the bacterium to proliferate. Low-absorbency tampons made of cotton and rayon are recommended, but not for overnight use.
