Taking certain foods or herbs with prescription drugs can lead to adverse side effects. Seldane taken with erythromycin, for instance, can cause irregular heartbeat. However, the problem can be avoided by reading the labels of over-the-counter drugs and consulting pharmacists.

Studies show that some medicines contain sugar which cause cavities. These medicines can include liquid painkillers, cough syrups and antiseizure medications. Cavities due to medicines can be prevented by brushing teeth before and after medication.

A fighting chance: new metastatic breast-cancer treatment offers hope

Article Abstract:

Fifty percent of over 100 women who received stem-cell transplantation for metastatic breast cancer are still alive after 2.5 years. Only 15% of women who receive standard therapy for the disease live that long.
