Balancing career and family

Article Abstract:

There are several ways for working women to balance their work and family responsibilities. They are advised to seek child-care providers and take advantage of work sharing and part-time, flexi-time and home-based work programs if these are offered by their employers. Working women should also require their husbands to help in household chores, apply organizational skills to housework and make sure to spend quality time with their children and husbands.

Article Abstract:

Working women should enhance their visibility to get well-deserved promotions and gain recognition. Self-promotion, which most women find hard to practice, can be done subtly and without exaggerating. To enhance their visibility, women are advised to accept praise modestly or share credit with others, showcase their skills assume leadership in non-work related activities.
