Battling employee negativity

Article Abstract:

Human resource managers must be able to identify and address problem areas regarding employee negativity. If left unattended, negativity may easily lead to non-productivity for individuals as well as for the entire firm. Signs of negativity usually manifest themselves in employees as increased tardiness, higher turnovers, and stress-related complaints. Managers must be able to reaffirm the company's relation with the problem employee as well as reassure the individual of his or her abilities to give them a sense of control.
